Founded by filmmakers for filmmakers and artistic spirits alike comes the Jerome Indie Film Festival; a defiantly raw and “100% independent” destination film festival.
Recognized by Aud News as one of the top 15 Film & Music Festivals in the world, voted one of the top 52 weekend adventures by Phoenix Magazine and chosen as one of the 12 finest summer festivals in Arizona by Travel Mag, the festival thrives to get guests out of their comfort zone and into cinematic adventure mode.
Originally rooted and held exclusively in Jerome, Arizona (America’s largest ghost town and once coined Wickedest Town in the West) the festival has recently expanded down the hill from the stilted village to include the unique and historic hamlets of Clarkdale & Old Town Cottonwood as well. Each town possesses their own distinct charm and personality and are just minutes from one another. All three towns make up one community located in Verde Valley, the main artery of Northern Arizona’s wine country which many believe to be Arizona’s Napa Valley.
Throughout the three day festival, independent films screen at various unexpected locations which include (among others) a beautiful vineyard, historic, charming buildings and on a train that travels through the majestic Verde canyons. Local musicians perform day and night at various venues and festival passholders enjoy a special perk-pass that allows them discounts offered by friends of the festival which include galleries, restaurants, bars, shops, vineyards, wineries and tasting rooms in all three towns. The Jerome Indie Film Festival has the spirit of Woodstock but with films and wine. It feels like a down-to-earth house party held in three of Arizona’s most interesting and beautiful historic towns where attendees connect and become family. We are one of Arizona’s most original, ambitious and impassioned festivals around.
We can’t wait to meet you all on the hill and in the valley.
Join us for year 5 September 7-10 2017!!
